AL Cam Temp Reading

The current temp reading on the AL Cam indicates 49 degrees......is this correct??

It never made it above 40 in Chicago today.

Afternoon readings can be a little off due to the solar radiation coming off the cabin. I'd say my temp would be closer to the airports, which was 45 this afternoon. Still plenty warm and making the snow soft, but still plenty up here.

I have the same concerns when I look a the AL Cam. Stack and I are heading up on Thursday. I see 36 degrees at 9:00am and that scares me a bit. I know full and well the trails will probably be shot. We aren't looking to do much on the trail anyway but I hope we have some decent snow left off trail. Hopefully John will do a few shots of the trail in the mohawk area in his journal this week just to see if we will have enough to her to the play areas by trail.

It was warm yesterday was up in the woods around copper riding in a light shirt and windbreaker pants over jeans and was working up a sweet.
