Al Gore Shocked by
‘The Great Cool-Down’

Is global warming over?

With icy weather hitting the United States and Europe this winter, Al Gore's global warming theory may be going up in smoke.

Now a Newsmax magazine special report, “The Great Cool-Down,” will anger global warming advocates and enthrall global warming skeptics.

As Newsmax reports, a growing body of new scientific evidence casts serious doubt on the claim that the world is facing a catastrophic rise in temperature — as Al Gore and many climatologists have claimed.

And critics of global warming can no longer be likened to Holocaust deniers. Still, Al Gore and other global-warming alarmists insist the threat is real.

They say that warming is caused by human activity, and steps must be taken if we're to sustain life on the planet as we know it.

But a significant number of highly regarded climate experts are skeptical, with some even stating that there is a greater chance of prolonged global cooling than of imminent global warming. Republican Sen. James Inhofe has called global warming "the greatest hoax ever perpetrated on the American people."

Newsmax magazine's “Great Cool-Down” report takes an honest and in-depth look at the climate change debate, which will have a serious impact on carbon emissions legislation, the U.S. economy, and ultimately, the American way of life.

With President Obama still pushing a “cap-and-trade” bill that would cost every American thousands of dollars all in an effort to lower carbon emissions, finding out the truth is a must for every citizen.
What skeptics contend are the real causes of climate change

Obama and Pelosi's radical cap-and-trade plans
The plunging popular support for climate change crusaders
The bogus claim about Himalayan glaciers

The nine factors behind skeptics’ argument
CO2 levels are rising — but temperatures are falling
The myth of melting icecaps
The “Climategate” conspiracy that tarnished the global-warming message
Obama's “hint” about climate science
How weather-measuring stations skew warming data

The MIT meteorologist who debunks warming
What sunspots indicate about climate change
Cold conditions — more deadly than warm
How purloined e-mails dampened the Copenhagen climate summit
The false alarm over sea-level rise
The climate expert who calls global warming “a scam”
Why spy satellites were diverted to climate research
Ocean temperatures' influence on climate
The “importance of now” for warming activists
Hurricane forecaster Dr. William Gray's skepticism on warming
Is this winter the onset of a mini ice age?

I prefer to remove the politics and actually consider some facts..

To educate myself I did a non-biased research paper for my grad degree on this topic and have a much different opinion now.

There is no denying that human's have increased the concentrations of carbon dioxide in the earth atmosphere. It is also a fact that increased levels of carbon dioxide in the earth's atmosphere amplifies the "greenhouse effect". It is also a fact that the green house effect increases the temperature of the Earth's surface and like it or not this correlation exists.

I will however continue to deny that global warming exists because I am not giving up my snowmobile, truck, boat, motox bike, weed wacker, lawn mower...etc. :)

The earth has been in a cycle of cooling and warming ever since it stablized and life (plants, insects, animals, etc) has existed. Those cycles take 10's of 1,000's of years. We are simply a microscopic blip on that timeline, and anyone claiming that they know exactly what's happening to the long term overall climate health is spitting rhetoric...

From Wikipedia,,,,
In March, 2009 Forbes featured Newsmax and described Ruddy's company as a "media empire" and the "great right hope" of a troubled Republican Party.
Did you think this organization would agree with Al Gore? Read the facts, decide for yourself.

Sarcasm is difficult to read sometimes, so I apologize in advance if I am off, BUT

Is this non-biased research you base your beliefs on conducted or approved by the University of East Anglia's Climate Research Unit, which was until very recently THE resident think-tank that conducted peer reviews and verified data for glabal warming? Their unbiased report shows quite a few flaws, including "misplacing data" and making blatantly false or highly improbable statements.

At least one thing is clear in all of this, nothing is a fact and all is still only a theory.

I never bought the Global Warming thing. Always believed it was just a cycle that the earth was taking at this point in time. Don't get me wrong, I do believe we all should do what we can to reduce emissions. For as long as this earth exists it will warm and cool for different periods of time. Now I'm no scientist, but that is what I believe based on info. that I have read.

Come on guys...."The debate is over", just cave in, so they can take the rest of our
ill-gotten gains.....and those polluting snow-machines, and big trucks.

It's plain and simple, Gore and other "green technology" proponents have become wealthier by playing on the uninformed's fear of man-made apocalypse. The "BS scientists" flinging this propaganda only do it to get more government and lobbied grants, so they don't have to have a real job. Al Gore's private jet could crash into his mansion, and I would call that a good start!!!

Right on, JR.

Also, it is not a fact, but rather theory that increased carbon dioxide amplifies the greenhouse effect. Some scientists believe that increased carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is a result of (not a cause of) warming temps.

There is so many unknowns to our climate which has been changing since God created the earth and also the politics and money involved I believe have twisted many people such as Gore and scientists who get paid from sources who say human caused global warming is a fact. I say if something smells just like a rat, it probably is a rat.

Pollution is bad of course and we need to take care of the earth and work towards SMART solutions to future enegry sources.

My take on it, the earth is pretty big, bigger than any of us, and it's pretty much gonna do what it wants. One huge hit from a meteor or prolonged volcanic activity and the whole global warming chant would be nothing but an echo as the entire planet cools rapidly.

Our time on the planet is so short, compared to the lifespan of earth, that we really don't see much "change". Watch any show about the creation and history of the earth and you'll quickly see that the conditions of the past 2000 years are just a blip compared to all that has happened.

We're just along for the ride........

This issue has gotten so politically charged that it probably needs a time out so that the climatologist can duke it out. Apparently there is consensus amongst climatologists regarding the warming, but not the cause. Some reputable climatologists disagree that it has a human cause.
Al Gore is certainly no climatology expert but neither is Rush Limbaugh.
Bottom line Science in - politics out!

the release (discovery) of the e-mails out of east anglia university clearly exposed the corruption of the science.
The data was skewed to produced the desired results.
Opposing peer revue was summarily dismissed also.
The earth is presently in a 10 year cooling run, but that too is being ignored,....how convenient!

My Fault

O.K.
I will come clean,....

Based on my love of spicey chicken wings,.... Jalapeno Poppers,... and
good doses of Aunt Millies' Chili,.... Coupled with some pickled eggs,...
N A S A Thermal Satellite images have concluded that the current
Global Warming Theory has been traced to my septic field and mound.
I appologize,.....
and when I can afford it, I will have a refrigerated 50,000 gallon tank placed
One Quarter Mile down to prevent future events from occurring.

In the mean time,... I will continue to try and cool things down with
Ice Cold mugs of beverage consumption.

:)

Sorry,....
We will now resume our regularly scheduled debate
over Al Gores great invention: The Internet.
