Alum Trailer repair ideas?

Where is the best place to find a sheet of the same or similar aluminum used with the typical clam style trailer caps?

I have a 2004 Alum clam shell trailer with a minor tear along the side approx 3ft long. It's very minor, but I'd like to find a small sheet of the same alum to attach to the backside of the tear. I thought about trying to fill it with a heavy epoxy, but I'd prefer to layer it with a piece of alum. Any thoughts? TIA!

Depending on how "minor" it is, I used duct tape on mine. Fortunately, it was a grey top. I put some on the outside and inside and just replaced it every once in a while. May have looked redneck, but it worked.

try a camper dealer or repair place. i have friends that have a camper/rv store. they have access to it. don't know where you are but try someone local to you.

You can also look for someone who repairs semi-trailers. I know a guy but he's local to me. Southwest suburbs of chicago, but he does do it on site also.

Thanks for the info. I really would like to find a small sheet of the same material and just rivet it inside behind the tear. I'll swing by a trailer/RV place and see what they have.
