An alternative trail conditions rating system

Rating trails on a scale of 1 to 10 needs some improvement, so here are some random thoughts that came to me during the ride Saturday and were finalized with a couple adult beverages after the sleds were parked.

FRONTIER DANCER - for those short plowed road sections

Uuuuuuugly, bare and nasty, but its not like you have a choice. Something you put up with to get to items further down on the list.

FRUIT OF THE LOOM

Everything around you is all white, except for an ugly brown streak in the heavily travelled area.

THE MADONNA

Ridden hard, a ton of miles and usage, kinda wrinkly saggy and worn, but still has a bunch of the good stuff in the right places. A pretty decent ride if you dont think too much about how many have been there before you. Closing your eyes is optional but not recommended.

THE KALEY (Cuoco)

Generally really good, can be kind of bit..y at times, but overall pretty fine shape and will bring a smile to your face when riding. Usually groomed well, but can bite back at you if you try to ride too fast. You will be glad to find these, as they make up a good percentage of what you find to hop on if you look hard enough.

THE GISELLE

Smooth, tight, white and curvy in all the right places. So enjoyable that you will want to ride twice, once in each direction!

Works for me!

I was on a few Frontiers this year but mostly Madonnas. Maybe one Giselle but it didn't last long.

One could rate a trail pre "Alger-SORVA" and post "Alger-SORVA", except the trail conditions would be both the same.

Funny you say that....Friends rode Muni while we stayed south of the pasty curtain this past weekend. Pretty much conveyed the same thing you just said.
Maybe it IS the dry snow conds. and non stop traffic that make it damnear impossible to keep those trails flat for more that 1/2 hour.....?
