2026 season at our seasonal trailer  Only a few weeks ago we had a blizzard warning, now full blow mowing, completely buried at the shop but....and it couldn't have come any sooner...we start our season at our seasonal trailer, heading up after shop close today for first time this season being open. Our serenity spot and of course been in 70's all week and today...high of 49 but, oh well looking forward to it regardless, may be a little wet for open fire cuisine but as long as I'm not at home or at the shop I really don't care. When I take my last snowmobile trip I am always counting the days till trailer opens. Here's to a good season to all of you who have the same or any place to go to and shut the world off for a while! Also looking forward hitting the open water up there and having grandchildren stay with us and show them there is more to life than video games and tv LOL

Good for you! If I had my way, the transition from sledding to spring activities would take one day. My wife has been pacing the floor so I promised her she'd be settled in at the cabin by may 4th, ice or no ice. It won't be the first time I've had to drill a hole in the ice to drop a water line in for our non-drinking water supply. To tell the truth, I'm kind of anxious myself. Can't wait for my quality time on the deck in the evenings.

"Quality time on the deck" SPOT ON KELLY!!! we have a collection of bird feeders and even feed some of what people would refer to as rodents (squirrels and chipmunks) even have a chipmunk that we can pet and tells us when "he" wants to eat LOL! Last year we had one of those prehistoric looking wood peckers and an indigo blue bunton hoping we will see both again this year! you will find my wife and I napping on the deck on a Saturday afternoon many a times, or floating out on the lake on a sunday as no motorized boats on inland lakes on sundays. we have a rather large trailer with all the amenities of home yet we do unless the weather wont allow all of our cooking over or in an open fire. Even though this weekend was alot of work....its different. Next month we will begin closing shop every other saturday to have 2 full weekends a month. It amounts to 8 hours a month I guess if I cant afford to be closed 8 hours I shouldn't be open at all and to be honest our time is more important than making a few extra bucks. Time is something you never get back not to mention life is just way too short, make the best of it!

Good for you Brian, just got back from Florida (Siesta Key) yesterday afternoon. Was 34 when we got back. Beautiful sunshine this morning and the clean up list is filled up and piers and lifts go in this week as the ice went out on 4/18 right on time. 85 and sunny, no humidity on the Gulf all week, everyone needed it. The big news is grandson number 2 is arriving in October.
