Annual Guys Trip - Gogebic

Well, this weekend should be the annual guys trip to Lake Gogebic but due to the birth of our new baby girl this past Friday we are skipping this year. Might be blessing in disguise though as I heard that Midway Airport cancelled all Southwest Airlines flights for today. Seeing as 2 guys would have been flying in perhaps we lucked out.

I am not counting out a trip to Tomahawk in late Feb or early March but that is all TBD.
Oh, and I had to bail on the guys ski trip to Vail, CO this year too...son of a!!!!

Moral of the story, please post some sweet pics from this weekend and the good snow UP north!

Going up Saturday for the annual guys trip, 13 of us total. Staying at Gogebic Shores for about the 10th+ year. Been doing this trip since 1993! I hope trails are good. Just loaded up the sleds in to the enclosed trailer an hour ago.

Bonn...congrats on the baby girl! Hope mom, you and her siblings are all doing well! What are the stats??

There's always another trip, right? And sounds like maybe it worked out for the guys flying in!!

Congrats again on the baby girl!! You're in trouble now!? :D

mspease, am sure all will be right as snow! We were there last week and it was OK. With this latest snow? Should be good to go! Well, with the snowmobiling part anyway! Can't say what kind of trouble a crew of 13 will get into?! ;)

The little was born 1/6/12 at 11:57 am....6 lbs 4 oz and 20.5 in long. All are doing well and her 2 older brothers (3 and half and almost 2 years old) have been very good. No compaints thus far!

Well, I GUESS that's a pretty good reason to miss a sledding trip! :) Congrats again! Glad all is well!

Congrats and I can only figure my days are numbered also as my wife is due in June with our second, but they (kids) are one of the best reasons to be at home! I'll be heading up tomorrow morning. Check the pics section next week for what we found. Bumper deep I hope!!!

Thanks for rubbing it in Mark! Watching all the cams and the weather reports is like pouring salt into the wounds.

Say hi to your dad and hope all is well!!!

Mark just had to do that, Bonn!! :)

It's such a tough call...infant, 2 toddlers, no sleep vs. sledding with the buds!!

The pros so outweigh the cons FOR going with the guys...with that little factor of wife happiness tipping the scales so that the sledding trip is such a NO GO! Well, it's not even wife happiness so much as husband misery when you return if you DID go!? ;)
