BOULDER JUNCTION - A 26-year-old man is dead after a snowmobile accident in Vilas County.
The Vilas County Sheriff's Department says the accident happened around 1:45 this afternoon in Boulder Junction.
The department got a 911 call saying a snowmobile had hit a tree on trail number 15 and CPR was in progress.
The man is from Bloomington, Illinois and his named is not being released until family is notified.
The Sheriff's Department, the DNR and the Vilas County Coroner's office are investigating the cause of the crash.
