Getting ready for winter and noticed a house on my lake I believe has a compressor with tubing around the dock for a deicer. The tubing can be left in year round, according to the website. Can one say start the compressor in March when the lake is frozen? Or does it have to start running in December so ice does not form? They run around $1500 for compressor, and tubing for small dock is $500.
