Any Northwest Indiana Members on here?!?

Not from the Northwest part but I'm a good 'ol Hoosier from Central Indiana. I know there are several people on here from Northwest Indiana.

Can you guys explain why in the northern section of the state that has historically received good yearly lake effect snow, have no trail system with the exception of the south bend area. makes no sense. We get much less snow in No. Il, but have pretty decent trail network. East of Gary to the Michigan state line is mostly sparsly populated and looks like it would work. Your thoughts?

There is a trail system in the Elkhart county with drop areas in Bristol, Goshen, and Millersburg. It's a pretty nice system and usually has snow on it.

Crown point here, we should schedule a john dee ride for everyone in the area. we could drop in westville and do a ride to rolling prairie and back. There are some good trails out that way we ride often.

Any intrest??
