Any one else notice the mountain range above Chicago this morning?

When ever this happens out over the big lake, when the lighting is just right, I like to imagine that I'm driving into the mountains and that I actually live some place cool......then the sun comes up!

I get to go to Chicago about once a year, and thats enough. No offense to ya'll.
That is a cool mountain shot though.

Ah yes, getting a brake light tan.

Not only does it look like the mountains, it looks like snow on those mountains. I have a feeling that if that were really the case you would just keep on drivin'. Your sled could be shipped.

I have to add the sight of the bumper to bumper traffic put a chill up my spine. Sure don't miss that, but it is amazing how you can become de-sensitized to it when you have to deal with it on a daily basis.

I guess the same way I have become de-sensitized to the lack of retail options up this way!

Thanks for reminding me of what I do not miss............Traffic. Funny thing is where I live now, Ontonagon County does not have a single stop and go light. True Fact.

Yep, I drive east toward the Lake everyday for work. I love that sight, especially when the wind is out of the north in the winter. I imagine the giant lake effect storms that HAVE to be hitting Indiana and lower Michigan, but it seldom comes true.

I'm trying to make out that street sign, but I can't. Wagner Road?

Yep, sometimes when I get all turned around I'll use the clouds over the lake to figure out which direction I'm going.

If you look real hard at the pic you can see some boondockers looking down on the traffic and shaking their heads.
