I head for the liquor store,lol best deals around are at Cardinal liquor store in Joilet. The more dangerous the neighborhood the cheaper the booze.

If you hit Joliet go to Mirichika's Restaurant on Theodore Street. Then Order a Poor Boy with extra garlic Butter.

LOL.... back in the day better & cheaper everything . Of course you may get killed , robbed, or thrown in the clink. I had to go and get a budd out of Newark Nj ( county can ) way back in the 80's.... Not the place for me, I think when I walked lookin for my budd, some nut case was charging the plexi glass cell wall across from the duty desk, next they were spraying him down with the water cannon.... what were talking about ? Oh yea traffic, in & out over george washington bridge into spanish harlem, 2hrs to go 4 miles.

Back to the topic, yes those clouds look like mtns. Traffic like that is insane.

Traffic? Half Day Rd is 30 miles north of Chicago. Heck thats still the suburbs.
Yup, that was nothin' !! Next time I go into the city, I'll snap a pick of the SEVEN LANES on I90..... bumper to bumper, dead stopped for ten miles out!
When ever this happens out over the big lake, when the lighting is just right, I like to imagine that I'm driving into the mountains and that I actually live some place cool......then the sun comes up!
Nice imagination! I like your way of thinking! LOL.
My commute is 70 miles one way, I can make it door to door in 1 hour 5 minutes.
