Any vitamin takers out there?

I've been taking a Centrum vitamin for many years, but just wondered if I should be looking into changing it up? I'm in my early 40's, a bit over weight, drink occasionally, exercise occasionally and eat an ok diet. Maybe I'm good with the Multi I'm taking but just thought there may be an expert out there? Thanks in advance for any suggestions and why?

They just had a talking head on the tube the other day on this very subject.

Guy said that we spend way too much time on pills, especially vitamin pills, and that most people didn't need much in this department except to take some vitamin d, occasionally.

From the looks of things...DR. BOOONDOCKER recommends that you stop the drinking, get more exercise, and save the money on the pills for another trip to God's Country....it'll do yah good! Now is that co-pay, or what? Just pay the bill BEFORE you leave the building.....:D

Vitamins

You THOUGHT there MIGHT be an expert on this site..............We all are, just ask us. Centrum is referred to as "bed pan" vitamins.. most of the goodies in them goes thru you to the bed pan and leave very little to "help". but their better than nothing. At least your thinking about your health. Next time your at your local g.p. or pharmacist ask them what they might recommend. There's my offical $ .02.

I just read a book on nutrition and it said you only need to take vitamins that you are not already getting through the proper food. 1st eat the proper foods to get the appropriate vitamins then if you have to take supplements. I am taking omega 3,6 and 9's because i dont get enough in my diet.

I would be wary of taking vitamins unless you are sure they are made in the U.S.A.
(This will prove difficult to do.)
Chinese vitamins would never contain lead...................
Be careful.
