This time a year I start going though my sleds cleaning carbs greasing etc. Well I come inside and first this out of my wife's mouth is you stink like snowmobile she won't even go around me lol. Ok maybe not really a problem but I thing it's funny I can work on car trucks bikes and quads but when it comes to sleds she can't stand the smell. I wonder how sleds have that magical smell anyways and a two stroke dirt bike don't.

Sounds like a good excuse to buy a new 4 Stroke. A Happy Wife means a Happy Life!

My wife likes 2 stroke exhaust. When I come in from tinkering with the sleds, she says I stink good. Guess I married well.

Yep. I've been out there starting it just for fun (to play w/ the new toy). Come back inside and she won't come near me. Oh, well, it's totally worth it for a little "pre-season" daydreaming!

still not old enough for a 4s yet poss after 60 I will get a stright trail sled.
I know her girlfriend was complaning about her car smell on time this summer .she had the top down and we were working on a drag sled and were running it on and off alot that day full of c116 and klotz.guess the smell stuck with it for a few days.

Oh for sure my wife has PHD in nose smells things that I can't smell. When my bud stayed over & we were riding 2s she made us leave our gear out side on the deck. We both converted to 4s Yamahas & she stopped complaining. Once you buy a 4s you can smell 2s maybe 1/2 mile away or so know you are pulling up on a 2s on a twisty trail far before you see them. My 2s gear smelled so bad I set off the room fire detectors at Konteka had to laugh at that & move gear away from detector to stop the beeping. lol

Klotz gives my wife headaches, Amsoil is great, put a little behind each ear and kiss her, see if it gets her motor running!

Mine, too. But with new 4s sleds on order, I guess those days are over. That's the one thing I'll miss about a 2s, I'm one of those weirdos who loves the smell and will fire up the weed wacker just to get a fix in the summer.

No no... you're not seeing the whole picture here. Seems to be a GREAT reason to stay with the 2 stroke. If she doesn't like the smell, she won't want you nearby as much. If she doesn't want you nearby much, that means you can be away more. If you're away more, you can ride more. See where I'm going with this?? You just need to read into it a little deeper

good point I gonna start premixing on top of my oil injection that should be plenty of stank on me to keep her far away
