Anyone have a GoPro HERO3 Silver or Black

I received a GoPro HERO Silver Ed. for Christmas and I don't know anything about video equipment. I'd appreciate any feedback on the Silver vs. Black Ed. The camera will get used for trail videos and such. Is the Silver all I need or is the Black worth the extra money?

I was researching the black one a couple of weeks back. Black one has some issues with the firmware and freezing up. Not sure if the issue has been resolved with updates to firmware. I think they forced that version out to quick before it was ready for xmas rush.

I am waiting to see if the issues are truly resolved before I pull the trigger.

I have the black edition and it is awesome. I haven't had any problems with it.
