Anyone know a little about generators?

So, I was given this generator and want to use it to power my camper so my question is. Which outlet should I use? The 29A or the 120/240 outlet? Which outlet is the most the most powerful? IMG_20151017_122648521.jpg

Use the 29 amp. That's 120volts that campers run on. The 240 would be like for running a welder or something like that.

what cord does your camper have? the difference is the amps. one cord plugged into the 14.5 amp plug (most common two prong type cord) will give you 14.5 amps. That's about enough to power the frig and furnace. If you want a microwave and toaster get the cord with the twist-lock 30amp connector.

Most current campers are set up with the 3 prong twist lock, 30 amp service. I'd use the 29amp outlet and switch the toggle switch to 120v only. I think you'll find you'll have plenty of power. Typically it's the A/C that kills ya for power, but I doubt you'll be running that anytime soon.

Well I won't buy anything but a Honda generator, I actually have a portable 6500 EX that powers my house's back up energy system. Lights on every floor , well pump, furnace, G door openers, everything but the AC.... best part is they are quite.... comparatively speaking & reliable.
Nice score.

Most campers are 30 Amp 120v RV plugs. Unless you have a large RV which that will be a 50 amp 240v. Either outlet will only give you a max of 29amps and to keep the magic smoke from appearing in your camper make sure it is only 120v for the 30amp RV plug. You will need to buy or make a adaptor from twist lock to the proper straight blade RV plug.
