Anyone know any dealerships with 07 twin spars left that are NEW?

The diamond drive with electronic engine reverse alone is worth it on the 2010. Not to mention the 800 HO motor is very strong. IMHO the 07-08 Diamond Drives are a weak design with the mechanical reverse. The newer ones may not be 100% bulletproof, but they are much better than the older DD from 07-08 when ACAT decided to mess with BDX's design.

Had a helix failure on an '11 M8 2 weekends ago.. It cracked with 400 miles. Dealers says this is common since the new elctronic reverse came out.

Look for a kitty dealer in Bay City, MI. I remember talking to a guy this fall that bought an 07 twinspar cheap from them.

I have heard of the new 10-11 high temp rollers breaking apart in the secondary, but only a couple helix related issues. The only "Common" issue that I am hearing on Snowest has to do the the primary clutch and spiders cracking.

Not saying it hasn't happened but I've yet to see a broken helix in are shop yet. I have seen secondary clutch bushings go bad and eventually wipe out the whole clutch.

The 2011 M8 that had a cracked helix at 400 miles cost up 3/4 of a day of riding at SLO. We had to load back up and drive to steamboat, wait for the dealer to get back from his hr lunch and beg him to fix it so we could get a few hrs riding in at Buff pass. This being a saturday, if he didn't fix it we would not be riding on Sunday as well, and we flew out sunday nite. He didn't have a new helix and he refused to take one out the the 8 M8's still in the crate out back. Finally he agreed to give us an heilx out of an older sled that didn't have electronic reverse. We couldn't use reverse, but it got us on the snow. He told us he has seen a good number of helixes cracked since they went to RER. Maybe the mountain guys are a bit harder on the sleds than flatlanders? Answer is YES.

When you got one guy that flew in form Florida and another from MI, loosing 3/4 of a day to ride costs alot of money.
