anyone rode a snowbike?-build

I am thinking about building a snowbike conversion. timbersled makes a pretty sick kit, also 2moto and ad bovin have kits. I might trade my sled for a 450 then build one... TOMORROW!!!

is this a good idea, my sled is gettin old and has high miles, i think it may be smart to trade my sled ($1800 tops) and my cr 125 (1200 tops) for a 06 rmz 450 then snow bike it. if the bike doesnt work out sell it this summer for 28-3000 and put a dwn pmt on a pro switch...hhhmmm?

is this a good idea?

has anyone rode one?

I have not spent anytime on a SnowBike but I do own a Snowhawk. They can be great boondockers and at times can certainly go where a sled cant (with the correct rider). The Timbersled is by all means the best of the conversions for off trail as it has an approach angle that eliminates lots of trenching... Les at Gary's Engines built his own kit for a KX500 and is in testing this year...

If you build it post a documentary of the build as you go!!!

a early model !!LOL!!

indy's is better! snowmobile ski on the front with a wooden mount, and a studded rear tire. don't believe i got any pics, its all taken apart now, that was a few years ago. i think i might still have the studded tire though.

I think one would be cool to have, I'll be interested in seeing build pics. I have looked at them and considered it but haven't done anything yet, maybe in the future.
Will be interested in how the KX 500 works because I would either put one on my KX5 or my YZ450F.
Keep us updated on the build.
