Arctic Cat 2008 F6 LXR - Starter won't engage

I have a 2008 F6 LXR - Electric Start
When I turn the key the starter will not engage.

This started abruptly. One time the sled started, next time nothing.
I charged the battery no help. I but a jumper across the contacts on the solenoid, starter engaged, sled started.

What and how to check next?

One post said check the starter relay fuse. Where would I find this.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Not sure starter fly wheel and gear are same set up on your sled but look on left side of motor. Should be a larger fly wheel and small gear that is driven into it and engages fly wheel when cranking. Found my starter motor gear laying in bottom of pan. Same thing, started fine then nothing. Snapped right off. A bitch to get at. All pull start on that sled now.

The fuse was an easy fix.
But now the cable from the starter motor and the bendex is now broken.

Any suggestions on the best way to replace.

Thanks

Not sure it's the best way but here is what I did to replace mine:

Removed both clutches and pulled left side motor mount. Than I removed the pinion and bracket from the engine along with the half of the busted flex shaft.
There are 2 set screws on each end of the Flex shaft so just loosen the ones on the starter and pull off the other half.

I assembled the new flex shaft on the pinion than the starter before connecting the pinion bracket to the engine.

Hope this helps.

After changing this I've decided to use the pull chord on the first start in the morning when it's below zero.
