For the 1st time in the 42 year history of the International 500 Enduro Race Arctic Cat
has taken the checkered flag (Sat. Feb6) It was a fight almost to the finish as the
#21 team of Troy Dewald (with the help of 2 other drivers since he was injured during
the qualifying) over took the #14 team of Gentz racing Yamaha 4-stroke. The last 50 laps were very exciting as the crowd cheered and caution flags kept stopping the race. What
a great history making event!

I was there, i was an I 500 rookie. Let me tell you that race was awsome. My Dad and I are going back every year from now on. I would wrather go to the I 500 than the Daytona 500. The passing and action is great those guys can drive and the feeling of 40 some sleds ripping by you at 109 is completly bad.

I was there too. Ran the vintage lap prior to the race on a 73 TX 500, what a hoot. Great race too!

Sweet sled......Wish my dad had not sold his.

Mid Michigan, when did you buy that '73? Did you happen to get it from the Twin Cities?

Got it from the original guys that raced it in 72. Story is it was in second place at the 400 mile mark and blew a track which put em out of contention.

Drivers names were Fran, Richard & Norm.

Congrats Arctic Cat! Doesn't Arctic Cat do well in the ISOC Sno-Cross series? I know Tucker Hibbert does and he drives an AC
