Are munising trails worth a 6hr.haul

Would like to get in some family trail riding between the holidays but don't want to haul 6hrs for mediocre trails .
anybody in that area that can give a accurate report ?

UPDATE:
NOON 12/26/16 - Non favorable conditions.
Windy 44 degrees and Sunny after morning rain. Temps forecast to drop with light snow. Trail conditions are not getting better with grooming still on stand-by.
Let's hope for a forecast error and we get the needed heavy snowfall.

GROOMING OPERATIONS: currently on stand-by
TRAIL CONDITIONS: Poor with very little base - All trail sections vary substantially with the Lake Effect snow bands. Very little base so dirt and rocky in some areas. Trail 419W Munising-Christmas (Frog Hollow) Poor with large areas of bare ground and soft wet areas.
WEATHER; Currently 27 degrees, Sleet
CAUTIONS, WARNINGS and UPDATES:
CAUTION FOR TRAIL 419W Munising-Christmas (FROG HOLLOW), packed in with areas of exposed ground. Very little to no base. Soft Wet areas.
CAUTION FOR TRAIL419 (Munising Wetmore Connector) - currently does not exist between the Alger County Road Commission and Wetmore, in progress with MDOT review. Estimated opening 12/27/16 - to be announced.

Unless this weekend brings some decent LES, trails statewide are pretty wrecked. This storm was shown as a disaster for about a week out. My sled is having the clutch overhauled right now, I figured that riding was going on hiatus.

Thankfully the primary US model has backed off a repeat scenario for next Monday. Before it looked like a clone of this past Monday's crapfest. Lets hope it stays that way or else we are looking at a rough start.
