Maps are not available. You can get a Forest Road map and use that . We were going out there until we had to cancel. We were going to ride our Atv's in the Bighorns mostly and our Mopeds in the Black Hills. Wyoming is more organized and nice Maps are available for Atv.

Out of State Machines are not allowed on Roads in SD.

We trailered out our ATV's about 5 years ago and had a blast.Went out in August a few days before the Rally.Stayed @ Spearfish Canyon Lodge and you can ride out of there.Stop @ a rangers station and pickup a map and it will show yaa the few off limit areas.Yaa can ride most of the forest roads and snowmobile trails. Check out the lodge website www.spfcanyon.com

We just got back from Deadwood, this was our second year in a row 4Wheeling in this area. We camp at Mystic Hills Resort on Custer Peak Road off 385, they also have cabins. If you haven't picked up one of the Forest Dept. maps at the Tourist Info stops along 90, Steve and Cheryl will have them and will be happy to mark the Trails for you. Something for everyone, very scenic and can be challenging. Nemo and the Centennial Trail some of the best riding around. Check out the Mystic Hills website, there are maps available and lots of info. This whole area is very ATV friendly, can't wait to go back next year.......

BTW. you do not need a 'sticker' however, next year you will have to register your machine in SD. never heard of out of state machines not being allowed anywhere.

Enjoy

Will work on the pics and thanks for the 'welcome' MrsRunningBear. Was here a year or two ago. Nice to see more and more ATV people here. We have spent a lot of time riding in WI and lower MI too. Have a toyhauler and prefer to camp. Keep a journal and maps of trails and campgrounds, happy to share. Need a quick answer email me. Will have to get over your way this Fall.

Sledbike-have a Boulevard in Saloon #10 for us and enjoy the all-you-can-eat prime rib and crab buffet at the Gold Dust in Deadwood. Food was also excellent at Mystic, if work didn't interfere would be going out with you!

Boulevard is a wheat beer served on tap in Saloon #10, for some reason tastes the best there! Where are you staying? Should also recommend a GPS, helped us. Did anyone tell you about the gates? Unless posted 'No Entry' you are welcome to open and go through, just make sure you close them, then watch for the cows, actually the 'patties' were the worst hazard!

Thanks Yoopergirl that sounds like a good beer to try. We rented a
house in the hills by Deadwood we can ride out of. No I didn't know
about the gates but the friends I'm going with have been out their
before I'm just trying to get some of my own infro. Thanks again for
the infro.
