Auto Insurance - Progressive?

Anyone have experience with Progressive Insurance, good or bad? Curious about the "what if I have a claim" and how they handle it.

I checked on their site for a quote for my truck and they show a substantial savings from my current insurance co. and other companies I have checked with.

Also, anyone try their "Snapshot" driver's discount program?

I had them for about 10 years before switching to Safeco. I thought they were great, and were always good with claims. They had high rates for sleds so when I put the sleds on my personal policy I went to Safeco. Overall I thought they did great for my cars

I have 2 cars, truck, motorcycle, camper and house all with Progressive. I have never had a claim with them, but they have saved me quite a bit of money and the rates don't mysteriously go up.

I have my work van insured with progressive. I hit a deer with my van in November. $6500 damage. The adjuster was great. Fixed in about a week. No problems.

I got rear ended by another driver with progressive. They were really easy to deal with. I actually took my truck to thier drop off facility somewhere in West Allis, Wi. There they had a rental car waiting for me. The called 7 days later and let me know it was done. I would highly recommend getting rear ended by someone with progressive.

I have West Bend Mutual and they were much cheaper than everyone else when I shopped around. Had a house claim with them once and they were great and have a friend (posts here) who is in the insurance restoration business and said their good from his end too.

A long time ago, I had a motorcycle and insured it with them. They were about the only company that would insure it then.

Anyway, some scumbag stole the bike, and they made me wait 30 days before they would settle...which they did, discounting the value of this pristine bike to about 60% of value.

On the day I was to take the title to them to get the check, the cops called and said that they found my bike. Turns out some kids got it rode it around for a few days and dumped it in the field behind my house. It sat there for a long time til someone spotted it and called the cops.

While it sat in the rain all that time....it didn't really hurt it that much, and I was darn glad to take the bike over the deal at Progressive.

At the end of the policy, they canceled me. Nice.....

Is that the one the commercials say they can save an average of $520 a year for auto insurance.

I need to call them cause I pay $560 a year now, $40 a year for insurance would be nice.

Insurance

I have the boat, ATV and the sleds with them. Got into a bender with a rental I needed 4-5 years ago and they were great and the local adjuster from Wisc. was a sledder and took care of me. Great rates.

Something about this picture just seems wrong.... But I digress..

I just insured my boat with Progressive because they had better features than my homeowners and were cheaper. Just the opposite is true with the sleds - go figure. I guess it's all in how they view risk.

I never priced the vehicles because I get rock-bottom rates with my current company and they handled my only claim very well. If I were to switch, I'd certainly give Progressive a look. A lot of independent brokers handle Progressive so it's not like you have no personal contact with an agent.

If you have Progressive Insurance, you are indirectly donating to the progressive agenda of the likes of George Soros and the hard far left. If you are for conservative values and against a liberal/progressive central government, you need to cancel your Progressive Insurance policy now. Find a local agent and get a new, probably cheaper policy. Support your local businesses.

If you don't know George Soros you better do your homework

snapshot - I believe this is their tracking mechanism they put in your car to track your driving habits. I work for Allstate and was in the pilot program for the same technology. It is scary.

If you brake to hard... there's a bad mark
If you change lanes to fast... there is another
If you do any thing but drive like a grandma or grandpa, I would not do it.

I was asked by management to join the pilot because they needed some one to test that would take it to the limit. I have a reputation for being a fast erratic driver. (their words) I call it efficiently getting from point A to B but all of the morons on the road make me be erratic so I can get around them ;)

I have my sled insured with them. I am planning on finding something different becuase of their "progressive" politics.

One thing that was great about my sled policy is that it covers rentals. When I rode out West last month, I was covered with my low deductible policy while the other guys had to buy expensive, high deductible damage waivers.

Give me proof. Or your post has no merit. I SEARCHED and found nothing.

State Farm now, no tickets 2 cars full cov, 106. p/month. If your in the UP, try Glen Johnson Farmers ins. Calumet.[Larium] We had to switch when when we changed our location. It pays to shop. We had Allstate, just paid, no claims, been hit by 6 grey hairs in 3 years, never a claim on our policy, but turn signals or a option down here.
