On Thursday December 3rd from 5 am to 7 am, we will be switching from this discussion board software to the new software. During the change over, you will not be able view this board.

We will be able to move all user profiles and all current posts to the new board. Passwords on this board are encrypted and will not be able to be transfered. All this means is that you will need to click on a link to receive a password for the new board.

We are not trying to reinvent the wheel here. The new board will have a very similar layout to this one, but does have some nice bells and whistles that this one does not have. Plus, posting pictures will be very user friendly!

I know there are those that just do not like change, but give the new board a chance and I can all but promise you will love it!

So start the countdown!

John - you took everything into acount, right?

I take it you used the double-double rule when you calculated the shutdown time. So it should only take you thirty minutes to perform the switch?

I hope John has ol' Mr. Murphy securely locked away in a "secret location", so hopefully Murphy's Law will stay out of the equation!

P.S:
Nice to see "He's baaack!" (John, back from his recent medical issues!) Hurrah for that!

OH NO! if we add spell check, frnash will have to focus just on grammatical errors and misuse of correctly spelled words..... which might be one in the same... i'm no ingrish teeechur

Th new board is very nice. A lot of you are probably already familiar with the format of it.

Will the new discussion board software efficiently handle photo uploads from a Black Berry or I phone mobile device?

Actually not sure about the spell check, but it should be able to handle picture uploads from any device as long as you are communicating with the board.
