This would be number one or two on my list of things I wish worked a little differently. At a minimum, it’s confusing for a new user. Once you’ve been through the sequence, it becomes second nature, but I’d like to see a more positive confirmation that the login has been successful.JD has not been down lately whenever I try to login.
Snowtrails...I recently signed up. It's a new site to me so it's a little clumsy navigating around it. I login and it takes me right back to the login screen as if login failed. but if I select communities the page refreshes and all of a sudden I'm logged in. Site has a clean look which I like. Time will tell.
As the sledding season heats up, one thing I hope people will get in the habit of doing, especially on the “General Discussion” page, is to visit the Forum section regularly (click the “Forum” tab on the page header). This is an excellent area to create subject-specific threads in a format everyone is probably familiar with. It’s perfect for things like Snowfall Reports, Trail Reports, or anything that generates a lot of subject input.
I should add, each page has its own Forum section. As Mezz saic, one drawback is that photo posting is more involved. It works the same way as the “Insert Image” did on the original JD forum and I used it a lot there so I was familiar with it, but most probably wouldn’t want to go to the trouble. Fortunately, the regular group page is great for posting photos.
