Bad Vibe- 2008 Ski Doo Renegade 800R

Last 50 miles of latest trip..noticed bad vibration when decelerating and/or coasting.

Seemed to get worse under the left side footwell. No grinding but got noisy under hard acceleration.

Has anyone experienced this? 2008 Renegade XP 800R. 3600 miles, had the updates and replacement driveshaft done long time ago.

Not sure if it is time to replace the driveshaft or jackshaft bearings or both?

What to look for in the chain case, etc. greatly appreciated.

I'm guessing it's a bearing, although 3600 miles is a bit early. Check the belt, if not that, change the bearings. I had a trip ruined for a couple of days a few years ago when my bearings went out at 7,000+ miles.

Thanks Mark...I checked the belt, it isn't terrible (1700 miles on belt). A little bit of fraying but doesn't look bad...sits nice in the secondary.
Got some advice that it might be the primary sheeve and cup....any thoughts on that? Doesn't appear to be any play in the drive shaft or any indication that the bearing is bad....

Did you take it off and inspect it for cogs missing or if you run your had around the outside and pinch the sides you would be able to feel a spot where it was burned. Either way if you didnt you need to take it off and inspect.

BTW I was KIDDING about the betting.

I took it off..no missing cogs, no sign on the sides of being burned or scored..there is play on the outer primary clutch, a little back and forth..not sure if there should be play or if it should be stiff. ?
