Anyone have a reference for a reasonable reputable Bat(small Brown) Eradication Company in the L Gogebic Area?

Also looking for an HVAC Co to service the Furnance(forced Air).

Thanks in advance!

If you know where the bats are getting in and out, I can save you a ton of money.

Take something like chicken fence (or a smaller mesh) and create a 2-3 foot tunnel away from the hole. Either tape or staple it down. Within a few days your bats will be gone, but leave the mesh tunnel in place for a month. After the month is up, seal the hole shut. It's that simple.

The bats can make their way out of the hole, but they are not able to figure it out to get back in.

I learned this a number of years ago from a bat removal pro, and it only cost me $500.

Are you getting them in your house Todd or just flying around outside?

I don't have a furnace guy for you but I would give either Ewen building a call or Borseth, I am sure one of them can recommend an HVAC guy.

Hi Scott,

Thanks for the reply and Note: RE: Bats--they have not gotten into the house yet, but...................Attempted to seal everything
last spring, but by mid August they found another place to enter on the sofitt. Thanks to Mrs. Runningbear from this site, I found a Co. that seems reasonable, that will guarantee the work. With the limited amount of time I have when I get up there, spending my free time with the bat problem is the last thing I want to do.

I do have a call into Borseth to ask for an HVAC guy. Someone mentioned a place in Hurley associated with the True Value.

I don't know what it is but the east side of the lake has tons of bats. I killed two last fall inside the cabin, and my mom caught and released one over labor day(I would of done different) Our neighbor has spent lots of money with different companies promising results to no avail. These aren't old homes so who knows how their getting in they are crafty buggars. Iwas up in early august i heard one chirping all night, couldn't figure out where he was. My mom hung a decorative bird house up in the cabin from a beam, I never thought to look inside. She figured it out on labor day. Now the bird house is were it belongs outside. Oh ya don't bother buying that bat-away stuff it doesn't work.

If you are still in need of a furnace pro, I would highly recommend Ellsworth Heating and A/C in Bruce Crossing. They were recommended to me by local folks and completed some work for me 2 weeks ago. They did a great job and were NEAT (put down painters cloths) and courteous. You can reach them at 906-827-3470.
