So went to the dealer to check out the backcountry and was very impressed. I was hoping when I got there to have options. I say options because I wasn't sure about the deap lug track in Iowa snow. Well they were sold out of everything else they had so zero options. After lots of talk with the group I ride with I decided that a deap lug probably wasn't going to work for my style of riding and the kind of snow we typically ride in. Either way I had them throw a regular renegade track on the BC. I guess I can always put the other track on if we decide to go west. Anyway after all that ramble I asked the owner/ salesman about the gearing on the BC. He told me that the 21/45 gears on a BC was all a rumor. He said that the backcountry comes with the same gearing that a renegade has 25/45. I thought I read on the BRP website that the BC has lower gears.. Any insite, facts, info? So we left the gearing alone.
