Be VERY VERY cautious...

Rented a number of sleds from Northwood rentals in Hurley recently. Most were damaged prior to renting (they admit this), therefore you need to go over the sled with a fine tooth comb and agree on any damage you find. This is where the problem begins. If you don't have alot of knowledge of sleds it is very easy to miss something and then you will be charged upon return, and it's not cheap.
My group has been renting for years and this is the first time with this company. I can also say this was the 1st time renting sleds with obvious damage (they say parts are on back order), but they continue to rent them.
Our group are all mature and expirienced riders and we were charged hundreds of dollars for damage we supposedly caused, I argued it was damage we didn't catch on the way out due to the fact we had no issues on the trail.
I am not bashing this business, I am simply telling anybody who may rent in the future to be very very cautious if they choose this company.

Digit pics.

Digital cameras were made for this issue. Take forty pics. of your ride before you tour and delete them when you're done. The Sled Owners won't argue with ya either.A picture is worth a thousand words.
