Becker Trailers.

No scam,I bought an open trailer from them. Good to deal with.

Thank you! It appears Becker does not build the trailers, but sells them under a House brand called Becker along with other brands. I think United builds them along with other vendors. They have what I want for what I want to spend. The ad has been a little misleading to get me to believe they build the trailers themselves. To Me it doesn't matter. I am looking for "Value" not just low price.

I had a United and sold it when it was 5 years old, The Aluminum skin was corroded thru on the back above the Doors. I bought a American Hauler this time and honestly it will be the last Trailer I buy from an Elkhart IN area Manufacturer. I thought the AH was better because it was undercoated but its all peeling off just like the Paint on the United did.

I am going to buy something made in Iowa next time. I think the quality is much better.

steel trailers

Most of the steel trailers built today are not painted behind the skins. What they do is build a steel frame, undercoat (called z-tech) the bottom, paint the area's you can see (tongue, roof bows) very poorly and then cover (skin) the rest of the trailer. This is a practice that they started 4-5 years ago to cut cost and in the end the consumer is left to deal with the problem of electolisis. The attitude with the manufactures is for costomers to buy a trailer every 5 years. Years ago all brands painted the entire frame to help delay the reaction between the two dislike metals. I have seen this electrolisis process happen as soon as two years. Sad part about it is people think it is rust, but aluminum does not rust, it electrolisises. That is why aluminum trailers have tripled in popularity in the last couple of years. Consumers are educating themselves better and want a better trailer for their money. Be careful on some of the all aluminum models though as their extrutions are very thin and can lead to some structural issues.

That looks priced like a deal.... IMO. I had a friend of mine pull up with his low height bike trailer a couple of years ago with his sleds in it. I always wanted 1 , but being 6' I figured it would be my head & helmut shields that suffered the most. I like the fact that it is below the level of the tow vehicle. Looks nice.

Called the Becker trailer guys today. They were fantastic on the phone. The trailer I want they don't have in the colors I want. White and black seamless sides, etc. etc. they will build one for me if I order by friday it will be ready for pickup just before Christmas. i can customize it to my liking. They have base pkgs. and promo pkg's that the Masses want. these are their "Specials". I am opting for cargo doors (I have a ramp) on a 7x16 toy hauler with RV door dimond plate up the wazoo. totally finished interior. This I can run past my accountant as a work trailer. I will letter it up with Company Name and the phrase we use "Just floor it" Racing. Then it will haul whatever it needs to haul. The prices are ligit and Chad answered all my questions. No sales tax charged and I can pick up from the factory in Indiana to save me a ton of driving. United builds them. with a 7000# GVR. Tile hauler/ bike hauler! Dexter axles. Bingo!!!! Wife will not have to tent it next summer, I have a roof top air to install right away.

Good for you, it sounds like everything is falling into place just like you would have liked. You couldn't get free delivery included though, huh?

Have them frame the opening for the RTU in it at the factory before they skin it.

Thats the plan. The oppening is larger then a standard roof vent for the air. They said $35.00 extra to do it. They can cut the hole. My neighbor works for American RV in the parts dept. I can get whatever I need to "Pimp" my trailer from him at cost. I just feed him Natural light ice (yuck). He loves the stuff.
