Been a banner year for me!

Just got back from another 4 day trip to the UP , based out of Grand Marais put on about 700 miles with 3 days being 200+ miles. Day 1 Sunday did "Crazy 8's" loop and as expected from weekend traffic was a bit rough especially around town but was better than sitting at hotel not riding waiting for Monday. Monday the groomers worked their magic over night and we were riding on absolute perfection rode to Big Spring and stopped at Jack pine for the best olive burger around! Tuesday we were planning on riding to the Soo but with winter storm warning we decided against it and did Paradise to Teh falls and back up trail 9 stopped at Pine Stump, did not hit snow storm that day until we got to trail 9 north intersection near Newberry and got worse as we rode north, eventually it felt like we were riding watercraft through the snow rather than sleds. Wednesday we rode to Eben Ice caves, almost turned around in the a.m. as visibility was just about ZERO but as we got away from lake it luckily it let up and were able to complete ride, other that a 10 mile or so stretch of 8/7 before Chatham trails were absolutely beautiful.

I apologize if this starts to sound like movie credits but..... It has been a banner year for me and an end of the season as we are approaching my busiest time of year at my shop and watching the weather down here as I hope down here anyways we are approaching spring and getting off the worst time of the year for shop. Anyways... 46 miles short of 2000 miles for the season, biggest year I have ever had! and I would just like a moment to thank......

My beautiful wife for understanding my passion and holding the shop down while I was gone as at the start of the year I told her "I'm riding this year" no way I could have done it without her.
The hospitality of the Northwoods including the people, the stops and places where I stayed as it is a big part of why I ride where I do.
All the clubs who put in and maintain the trails, probably less than 5% of the trails I rode this year were perfect... THANK YOU!!
Ken (venturenorth) and the Apple Dumpling Gang out of St. Germain who I joined in late fall, Really super group of guys and my first exposure to bag trips and looking forward to doing more with Ken and the Dumplings!
Huge THANK YOU to all of you guys on this site for the input you have given when I ask for information and help, and the ones I have become good friends with and keep in touch with outside of the site!
Thank you to Darren (dfattack) for exposing me to interior of the UP and Florence county areas I have never ridden before and look forward to riding with you again!
Here are a few pics of my ride......
