Belt deflection screw/tool

Likely a dumb question, as it seems too simple.
Older RMK(08) Polaris Team secondary.
Deflection adjustment screw broke, but got it removed.
Can we just put the nut on the belt removal tool and use
that as the adjustment screw until a replacement is found?

Not a good idea, could be a balance issue. An allen head screw should be readily available from any chain style hardware store.
