Benefit dinner Sat Aug 21st

For Mary Ann Jarvi-

Mary Ann will be having major knee surgery coming up soon, and will be off of work for 6 months. Her insurance will be covering some of the costs, but not nearly enough.

So there is going to be a benefit Spaghetti dinner for Mary Ann on August 21st from 12PM-5PM at the Fire Hall in Twin Lakes. Adults $8.00 Children under age 12, $5.00 and children under age 4 is Free

Mary Ann has worked at Krupp's Mini-Mart for the past couple years and has been responsible for the awesome (if you've ever had one, you know what I am talking about) Italian dinners on Saturday nights. Previously for many years she was an employee at the Mosquito Inn, in Toivola.

If you know Mary Ann, or not, and just want help her out, and cannot make the dinner, checks can be made payable to Mary Ann Jarvi and mailed to Krupp's

Thank you Skylar for your "event posting" for the spaghetti dinner benefit for Mary Ann.
I would like to add a little more detail to Mary Ann's knee situation. 2 years ago she had a knee replacement. While going through aftercare therapy it seized (probably from scar tissue forming) and she had to go thru the ordeal of having it manipulated while under anesthetic to "unseize" it. Then the therapy started all over again.
A few months ago it was causing her excrutiating pain and they found that there was infection in that area and that the replacement is failing as it slides out of place. Now she has to have the apparatus removed until infection is gone. She will be in a wheelchair, with IV, for 3 months. Then, if all goes well, another replacement inserted followed by another 3 months of surgery.
Meanwhile, her husband's employer has changed insurance companies which has added to the situation.

Just a few days until this benefit dinner so just a reminder if anyone is within driving distance, out ATV riding, etc. maybe you could stop in for some yummy spagetti. Sat.-August 21, 12PM-5PM at the township/fire hall in Twin Lakes. (ATV trail just across highway).

And, it was excellent. Wonderful turnout - THANKS (I'm not yelling-its just a biiiiig thanks) to everyone that came - some distance miles were driven-very impressive. If I had left-overs, I'd eat them today.
