It looks like an easy ride?

Where to park trailer?

Konteka White Pine hands down half way to Loc has gas too , good ownership and good food can't go wrong for wifey. Plenty of parking at Konteka could do Loc then head up South Boundary Rd to trail 102 loop back to Konteka.

There is a lot on the main corner at Bergland that i have seen trailer parked there both winter and summer. I can't tell you if it is ok to park as there is a resort right there.

There is a parking lot across from gas station in Bergland it is a pay to park I believe on the honor system., and pretty cheap. Couple different options then to go up to lake in the clouds just looks at a map. Very nice ride.

yes there is a lot there, parked there in December, was $20 has a little shack there fill out envelope, not much to choose from up there (silver city) as far as eats, Konteka would be my choice for food, recently stayed there on bag trip, nice rooms too

The Root Cellar or Fin and Feather either one good places, if coming back through for dinner, Root Cellar has a really nice salad bar, Either one really good IMO. Fin and Feather is the old Fish Tales. Root Cellar I think is closed on Tuesdays, cant go wrong with either.
I have not eaten there yet but I think the owners of Root are part owners of Trailside which is in Bergland, it is a barbecue place

one other recommendation, if coming back through at night and its snowing heavily, stay off of lake, easy to lose sense of direction and dangerous to navigate shoreline. take 13 down and eat at Root if bad weather, don't chance it.

That is good advice. For that reason, try to use the drop point in town.
We base out of Bergland with a .6 mile ride across the bay. It can get hairy even in that short distance sometimes. The lake issue may be a factor in your food choice. The west side trail 1 is down for logging so 13 is your main option. Finn & Feather is good eating but you will need to use the lake if you head there on sleds.

There can also be heaves in the lake, rather large ones, and if you don't know/see them, you could take a bad tumble. Almost happened to me and my group some years ago. We were staying at what was McConnelys, the furthest south resort on the lake at that time. We left Root Cellar [nite] and headed back only to encounter a huge split/drop in the ice. Scary, to say the least. We were saved because we seemed to hit it from the right direction. Next day we looked and measured about 10" drop, so if we d have hit it going north it would have trouble.

No ice heaves so far this year that have been reported but that can always change. Agree lake can be hard the navigate in heavy snow.

One question is how long do you want to ride? Marenisco has a nice spot to park and take off from and 102/11 is a really nice scenic trail. Then you can loop down to Bergland and head back from there. It's roughly around 100 miles

AJ's also has food and its at the top of the lake close to the Bergland gas station. Verify the trail conditions when you go, the trail that runs into Silver City and goes along the lake can be bare and its all along the road leading to the park entrance. There is another trail that meets up at the entrance that is much better (UP 11/S Boundary Road). We went there a few weeks ago, the first part of the park trail was mud/dirt before you got to the "closed road" that leads to the lookout, that few miles of road was all white and cleaned everything up. Awesome view.
