Best day of week to ride

What are typically the busiest days on the trails - Fri, Sat and Sun? Because of work schedules, we usually end up heading up Wednesday night or Thursday morning and driving back Tuesday. Of those days, Monday always has the least amount of traffic by far...

Tuesday or Wednesday gets my vote. Clubs usually have all trails back in shape after the weekend and the traffic is typically low.

We always did Wednesday thru Sunday. But the last 4 years we do Sunday thru Friday. The best thing we ever did for traffic and smooth trails.

Unload Sunday eve. Load Friday noon. Don't want to be on trails on weekends or Holidays.

Beggers can't be choosers! If there's snow, RIDE!!

I'd say its pretty obvious what days will have the least traffic, its been beaten to death lately. And last year, and the year before.......

Any time is good but all day Monday thru F morning is best. Fri afternoon to Sunday afternoon will be busiest but after everyone goes home Sunday the trails will be vacant but need grooming. Just remember some eateries won't be open weekdays.

Pushed out 190 in 6 hrs today with lunch at Bauers dam . Saw maybe 30 sleds....there were A few 6+ sled groups....way more than last week. So I guess Tuesday is a good day to ride.

russholio, one of my favorite runs is Wellston to Maple city & back. Heading up next week either to UP or Wellston.
As far as best days... well that has been answered.... now regarding BEST weeks.... here is one that I'm going to do again ( week after the X-mas to N-Years break ) It was sweet .... we rode Tues - last Friday, drove home Saturday afternoon . We would have been on the road Saturday Morning but one of our Posse's diesels needed some Rescue 911 & a propane torpedo heater . Granted it was -0- for a high most days.... we even stopped up in the Crazy Eights... talked with a local ... he jumped off his sled and his 1st words were " this is f--in excellent " we concurred and continued to ride blissfully in tons of fresh LES and flat groomed trails ... Going to plan that trip next year !

Eagle River race weekend coming up so probably a bit more traffic during this week than normal?

MJ -- we're staying near Wellston. Headed up to Thompsonville today and did the loop around there. First time I've successfully completed it, the other three attempts over the years were all thwarted for some reason or another. Another 127 miles, saw more deer than I did sleds. :)
