Ok all you mountain men! is 26/287 a good route from moran to casper towing? i have a 36ft class a v10 gasser and toad. wonder if passes and grades are ok ? all you wyoming travelers can give me some feedback . have to travel to south dakota so looking for the least strain on equipment. will travel 25 north from casper so ok from there . togwotee pass from rv posts looks like its not too bad grades ? thanks

deff slower going in the south rout but more scenic. when trailering in the winter we always go up and over the top on the interstate . if heading thrugh the hills early in the day or late evening be sure to go through the wild life loop in Custer park. and the needles highway is a cant miss if your trailer is not to long .
I love the black hills cant believe all the people from MN who have never been ? I can ez spend a week there a yr . deff not a fan of rapid city pretty much a chit hole imho lol.I can deff see my self retiring in the foothills of the black hills. not sure if u go up top on interstate and try to cut down through spearfish canyon right now if it can even be done with the wild fires in spearfish now.
if u have never been to hills IMHO the most overrated site in the hills is Rushmore don't waste your 1/4 day in that trap

also would love to here what routs u took out west in the RV . planning on heading west in sept with a motor home . thinking up and over to red lodge then a day or2 in N E part of Yellowstone hiking around with the bear spray 2 more days traveling the park then driving down to Arches then through CO then up through the hills and back to MN prob 9 to 11 days. I wont be trailering but will prob have the motorcycle receiver hitch on to carry a scooter to buzz around on

IMHO your best rout for visuals would be 18 to 89 to to 385 s to 87N to 16A to the wildlife loop then loop around back to 16a. then cut over to 79 for interstate up to rapid. if camping I would stay overnight in the camper the hills are much cooler than rapid or the badlands typically

thanks, do you know if 16 from 385 to 90 has any tunnels we are 12-10" so no low clearances . lady at place we stayed going out said there were some tunnels with low clearances . we took 90 west to sheridan to billings to bozeman then 191 south to west yellowstone . didnt want to chance going thru the park without ever being there . then we went south to jackson lake in tetons colter bay . Just beautiful country ! I am proud to be an American and a veteran ! GOD BLESS AMERICA! BTW the cashier at TOG says HELLO JOHN DEE'RS!

deff avoid needles in the black hills then there is 1 tunnel through a rock I have seen class c roll through but un sure how tall. cant think of any other low tunnels . tallest I have pulled that way is a deck over toy hauler and cant remember being nervous about it anyplace
