Best sled shop for repairs

My son spent all his hard earned $ on a Polaris 2008 600RR. The sled has a bog when you start from idle and then just after mid-range. Have had 2 different places look at it and neither place can figure out the problem. Polaris only made 421 of these sleds. Its a basic 600 motor in a racing chassis. Any suggestions on where to have it fixed......Please chime in !

If it were a Cat, I would say Rt 12 for sure, but I am not sure if they will work on Polaris as well. Might want to give them a jingle. 847-253-4404.

Sounds like a good time to purchase a shop manual and start tearing it apart. Sleds ain't cheap to start with, paying someone to fix them doesn't get any cheaper. Lots of good info out on the web, most likely fuel related, could be clutching if you gave us more symptoms on the bog. Check the exhaust valve bellows, I had an 07 IQ 600 HO carbed had a bog off the line and it seemed to "load up/bog" mid range there was a hole in each of the bellows.

Try calling Goodwin performance there in Zion ill. They work on everything including race sleds so might be able to help. 847-872-4001 they also advertise on JD, good people and do good work.

Are you running the correct belt on it? If two places looked at it already and can't figure it out, it could be a simple belt replacement or making sure the primary is shimmed correctly.

X2 - I would start with the belt and make sure the deflection is set correctly! I had a bad blog just like you are describing on our old pro x 600 and couldn't figure it out. After messing with it for a few days it turns out a new belt and setting the defection fixed the problem.

If it just boged at idle and start out i would say clutching could be an issue for sure but to bog in mid range makes me think carb/fuel related. I had a ZRT that was doing that and i had the primary rebuilt, same thing boging lower rpm's/start out, Then i rebuilt my secondary and it was in the proper ratio when i punched it from there on out and ran like a raped ape!.......As far as Lissy's i have an issue of American Snowmobiler that had shoot out special like they do every year and Lissy's was woopin up on nearly everybody with thier modified/re- clutched sleds.
