Many years ago... I had spun the case upside down ( cylinders off ) and started flushing with a spray ( brake cleaner ??? ) and blowing with compressed air, several times . It worked well, I had decided to pull the "yanker" while not remembering that I had my cylinders off. You could use wd , I might have flushed mine with solvent also, then blow it out, let it dry and relubed... It did work, I had schrapnel from the piston skirt down in there.

if you don't want to split the case could you not tip the whole sled upside down flush with carb cleaner and turn crank slowly.
would not be tough if you have a hoist on the ceiling or 4 guys and a saw horse.
guess the question is how far from the trailer do you ride and how long do you plan on keeping it

i think im just going to pull the motor and try to flush it out, insted of splitting the case hope the flush will work. well guess i will get my new cylinders and pistons rebuilt it and wait for snow

Thats what I'm talkin about!!!! Why cobble it, do the right thing and split the case.

Flushing it out is not cobbleing it, I take offense to that statement , I can cobble , I mean hack stuff up with the best of them .... if your going to split the case then by all means check run out. And further more .... it is imperative that you solve the lean down " root cause ". Like performing a leak down test. Here is a pic of some components i bought from Menards. The guage I had along with the quick disconnect / flow control. Seal it up, plug the impulse line, and put 5#'s to it then watch guage. I was using a stethiscope listening for air leaks in 1 of my motors.

Wasn't trying to offend anyone....to me a half a$$ job is cobbling. It's only an opinion, you can call it what you want.
