careful what you wish for. I'm not a hater of him or huge fan, it is what it is. He had one **** of a record and kept the train on the tracks after Barry. Seemed to be capable of recruiting for Wisconsin standards. I will say he single handedly lost that rose bowl vs TCU with his stupid play calling. If he would of won a rose bowl or two this news would be met a lot differently than everyone saying see ya. I just remember the Saturday afternoons of the 80's and early 90's and don't want to go back to that. And if you think it can't happen just ask Auburn, Purdue, Notre Dame or Oklahoma for that matter.

he is not short on confidence, I will say that? We will not miss him in the Big Ten!
Have to agree with Timo and add that he kept most of Barry's assistants, Chryst, etc. so he should have kept the train on the tracks.
I am Maroon and Gold fan but have been to Camp Randall for a few games over the years.

Doesn't break my heart to see him and his ego head south either. Pretty poor timing though. Should have waited to break the news til after the Rose Bowl. Just gonna be a distraction the next few weeks. Decent coach, but surely not on the same level as Miles and Saban Miles in the SEC. Gonna be a lesson in humility.

Yeah, sounds like Barry will coach the Rose Bowl to wrap up the year. Will be interesting to see who we get to take Bret's spot. Ya gotta beilieve they'd move up one of the offensive coaches...??.. Time will tell, but I agree, it's a good thing that happened. I won't miss that dombfounded look on the sidelines. I think he had a radio station playing in his headset half the time. LOL..

The guy couldnt win a big game that mattered with the best talent WI ever had. I'm guessing he had to leave now, or who would hire a 3 time rose bowl losing coach. I wonder if anyone in Arkansas really looked at his record?
