Big bay to lanse

I've heard that it does. I thought the same thing until I met a group, in Big Bay, from Minnesota that said they had ridden from Baraga. They did say that there seemed to be a couple miles of trail that didn't get groomed FWIW. This was middle of February.

yes it does connect, we were just through there a few weeks ago. In my opinion, this is the best trail in the UP. Polaris trail maps have it broken for a bit, not sure why. There is a really neat frozen water fall that is a really neat stop, about 5 miles outside of big bay, worth a stop for a photo op.

Does the trail connect from big bay over to lanse?

do you know THE CANTEEN BAR in L'Anse or whatever its name is these days, on the water front. Its on front street. go half a block southwest to BROAD street. now go 2 blocks heading south east and in those you will see a straight up slightly rising old railroad grade , and sled tracks. go up that, it hits the trail. I think its actually the old brewery road. the hard part is you gotta run right thru downtown on the sidewalks, but its a trail. its tricky. or just go down and around and come up the spur. you'll see what I am talking about, it becomes clear when your actually there. its a great run. out there you can see the 40 foot falls too.... that other fall they mentioned is on 510 and is more accessable by trail 14 north from Marquette. the other way you can stop at MOUNT ARVIN and sign the boy scout book. I always leave em a little saying or poem to read round the fire in the summer. temp/snow depth/party members/clubname/state/etc. have fun its one sweet ride. I do all the time but to BILLY THE FINNS in SKANEE...see the little loop spur...but that is actually right along US41
