Supposed to get 8 to 12+ inches??? We'll see what happens here. How about others in this storm path, your thoughts??? I need to add that we're also to get high winds for 24+ hrs. And 35+ mph for 12+ hrs. of that. Ugly for sure. All snow removal equipment will be plugged in.

Being this is a "snow" activities site per say, imo, I can only assume it's related to that fact that many have become tired of predicted snow storms turning into duds???

Im excited anytime it snows. But....hard for many people to get excited since trails are not open or even marked yet. So a big snow can't even be enjoyed for a local cruise. A test ride on private land or skis looking for culverts only. I will still take it. May be the only big snow here all season the way it goes some years.

Headed home early from up North so I didn't have to drive in the mess tomorrow AM.

Would have preferred it hit up north to set everything up for opening weekend.

well the trails aren't open and the snows are down in Illinois/southern Wisc/lower mich where I don't ride at all. The most important reason I don't care is my business gets negatively effected with snow so I want everything to head north!

Excited for snow. Maybe things will turn around and winter will return.
We work outdoors everyday so it doesn't matter what we get, Mon day will be here tomorrow.
Groomer is ready for the opening.

This a catch 22 We just finished up marking most of are trails in northern IL. But trails will not open til 2nd week of December. This is when we have landowner problems. People in clubs know not to ride and the non members don't care, they have no idea about what goes into getting a trail network. I believe ditch banging is legal on so roads.

Not in the path anymore here...it's always fun to get pumped up about a storm, but nowdays most turn out to be duds. Our club has a lot of trail that we still can't mow/mark due to crops in the fields with muddy ground. Even our funded corridor trails remain unmarked due to corn. Lots of those fields have standing water yet..so unless it gets/stays cold for a few weeks, it ain't gonna be pretty here in our neck of the woods. All this still from the floods of August. I'm stoked about grooming, but pretty darn nervous about what lies just underneath....lots of mud!!! So for now, the snow can go elsewhere.....as always, and this year even more....it needs to stay cold

Interested in what you got? We received one inch of the 6-9 expected, really wouldn’t have been a big deal besides all the rain before he snow that really made the roads slick.

Snowflakes as big as Ive ever seen here in Illinois. Suppose to get 6 - 10 inches. Let it snow..
intersted in what ya got! We have 1 inch of the expected 6-9, the storm was a very hit and miss storm. Lots of rain before to make roads slick but not much else besides that.

Looks to be 10+"'s. Drifted real bad. And lots of snow to move before the cold digs in tonight. We farm, and live in the country, so I will probably shake down the sleds as we have unlimited private property able to ride. The crops that are still not harvested as of now, may just be there for the winter, as they have been blown full of snow!!!

I am from northwest MN and I get pretty jacked when I see flurries. I see a light blue over my location on the map and I have high hopes that maybe something will blow into the ditches. haha

I am not too worried about trails because I would say 90% of them here are just in the ditches anyways.

20 years ago this would have been 4 - 6 inches of snow, not a winter storm warning, understand the blowing snow and what conditions technically define as a blizzard but.....it snowed out. was like plowing concrete, i'd say we got about 4 or 5 inches of heavy slop at best.

We got about 10 to 12 inches in Stillman Valley. The ride to work was kind of bad. It started out as a single lane plowed down the highway, to ice covered interstate to Janesville, to nothing in Milton.
