Big wheel kit

I like to put a big wheel kit in but some axles i see have the wheels on the inside and not the outside. so whats the diffents? I like to put them on the outside. or is it better to put them on the inside. I just be riding groomed trails.

I got a 2000 formula deluxe 600 with a Fast M10 136" and I think would work better with bigger wheels.

What size do I get? It has 6 3/8 on now. 2452.jpg

Your going to need an offset axle to accommodate bigger wheels no matter if you go inside or outside. I wouldn't get anything bigger than a 8'' wheel. In the end you really won't feel any difference. As for inside or outside I don't think that matters either. Try and get something that is easy to adjust and the quality is worth your money. I would definetly get wheels with rubber molds around the outside. If you go inside, it will cost you less too, because you will only need 2 wheels. If you go outside you would probably have to get 3 wheels.

Went outside with mine. My sled is a 121'' though, so I had no choice except to go outside. If I went inside the wheels would've been hitting the rear torque arm in suspension. View attachment 31590

Ok I think I'm going to go with the 4th wheel offset kit with 8" wheels.
But I need one for the Team Fast M10 suspension.
Anyone know where I can find one?

I installed the 8" big wheel kit on my 2002 EDGE-X 800 that had several SLP bolt-ons.

I knew where my sled was at acceleration /top end racing it against my buds "test mule" sled.

There was ABSOLUTELY NO benefit from going from the stock 6 3/8" to the 8"

And with the offset axle stubs (that replaced the stock straight axle) it made it an absolute P.I.T.A. to adjust track tension.

One more reason not to go that route

Spend your money elsewhere, I.M.O.

The wheels you speak of are a 'looks only' mod. No other benefit to a trail rider. Just get yourself some nice Monster stickers instead. Much easier with no bad side effects.
