The folks that own the Bear Lodge also own the Arrowhead Lodge and the Elk View Inn, all within a few miles of each other in the Northern Bighorns. They trails are usually excellent, but the best reason to go there is for the varied off trail riding. They have guides available from the Bear Lodge also if you are not familiar with the area. Good places to ride are usually to the South, West and North of the lodge but of course depends on the snow conditions and the type of terrain you are looking for.

why wast the time and money to go to the big horns with a apex ? rent a sled .

rent...and insurance....and then you can drive like ya want to....theres SNOW COOKIES...and WASH OUTS...and STUMPS and BOULDERS....theres boiling the brake oil and engine fires....there is jumping cornices the size of your house....think tunnel on apex...so ya...just to name a few....I vote rental also
