Maybe our paths crossed at some point. It was a strange storm in the fact Rapid City got almost 2" and Deadwood 114". If I remember correctly. I have a ton of pics from my many snowmobiling trips over the years and my favorite ones are still from that trip.

renagde, I was lucky to get in on that blizzard, we were heading for the big horns - the interstate was closed at Deadwood exit so we got a room at the super 8 then later moved to trails head- maybe the best snow ever for me -trails were 4 feet high ungroomed for the first two days -amazing- stayed for 7 nights

I went out with 2 friends from Polaris the day after that blizzard also. Incredible conditions. We hooked up with Brush, formerly from the Mtn Meadows resort but later owned the Buckhorn, and he guided us for a couple days. Fantastic time.

We were there when the Blizzard hit. It snowed for 36 hrs. straight. All we could do for two days, was ride right done hyw. 85. Once it finally quit, we went to the north west of trailshead, snow was not as deep up there, We had a tough time getting out of there when we left. Had to go to Newcastle WY and then take the south route through Custer and the into Rapid from the south.
