I did not know that Jackson County had allowed the four wheeler vehicles on all trails. I'm glad for this site, and for the fact that I didn't go into Jackson this weekend. We decided to go Northeast and let all the locals here get the ants out of their pants so to speak. I saw 21 sleds in 2 minutes on a section of Eau Claire county trail, and saw 3 sleds blow right through a well marked stop sign without even attempting to slow down. Will try to take the kids out one day after school so they can ride.

I don't think its all trails but just the ones in the county forest. I have never seen an atv on trails by hixton or private land, but I could be wrong.

Just got back from BRF area.....trails were great today. Met a groomer and very little traffic...no ATV's either.

Rode Neillsville, to Hatfield, to Millston to BRF to Hixton, Alma Center back to Hatfield.

There is nothing flat about the trails north of BRF in Trempeauleau county. Same thing in Buffalo as well. In 2014 the groomers were having problems getting up the hills and spinning out. Tires with chains just weren't enough that year. Lots of hills in all surrounding counties and many winding trails. Yes you will cross some fields, but then back in the hills you will go. P.S. please stay in markers on the fields. There are a few farmers up this way who allow passage, but will get really pissed when people leave the trail. BTW I'm just stating a fact, not implying that your an irresponsible rider. So please don't roast me.

To be honest after the cold we had in November with no snow cover, and the big thaw we had two n a half weeks back almost any established hay will be winter killed. Trail or no trail.

Sorry to hear of the possible lost hay crop. It's not only expensive to replace, A very important crop to dairy, and it takes time to reestablish. Whats your opinion on the hill, and bluff trails of Tremp, Buff, Pepin, and Pierce?

Have been in all those counties except Pierce. I like the trails, even though right now I guarantee you they are drifted.(it won't post my smiley face.)

Yep, I was trying to figure how long it will take to get things back opened up? The scenery is the best up there for sure! Hope things go well with the farming part of you. Very bad weather for livestock chores. Lord be with you.

We started grooming railroad bed. Groomed from Mondovi to osseo as of now. I also took a ride to Buffalo Cty to the big town of gilmanton on freshly groomed trail. Not sure how the grooming will go in Tremp Cty. Just depends on how fast the tracked tractor gets repaired. The wheeled tractor could have issues with all this snow. 13" around here. I'll be driving through Pepin and Peirce county tomorrow and can see how their grooming is going. Their trails were fantastic before the storm last Friday.

Drove through buffalo, pepin, and peirce. All grooming and looking good so far! Thinking of heading that way thursday. Looks to good not to. They also had a little less snow then Tremp county. Our banks are 10-15' high in some places. Just heard they are going to try and bust through drifts and banks with just the tractor and no drag. Went from no snow to too much in about 19 days. A little over our yearly average in 19 days also. Crazy

Where the trail goes near our place is now instead of a level ditch it's a 10 to 12 ft shoved up pile of snow from the end loader the county rented. I admit I'm glad I'm not the groomer that's going to try to recreate that trail.

It sounds like western Jackson is having trouble grooming like northern Tremp. The track machine did get up and running so central tremp should be grooming. Hopfully everything gets done by the weekend.
