Take the fuse to your NAPA Auto Parts or similar and buy a new one. They'll cross reference it to a common automotive fuse and it will probably only cost you $5 to $10. Heck, they may even know how to test them while you are there. I blew a fuse on my Summit once that was over $20 from a Doo dealer. I took the fuse to NAPA and they cross referenced it for me and here it was $4 fuse that was common on 1970's GM cars. Funny!

Thanks Rocket I will go to Napa the cost of the AC fuse is 20 bucks, which isnt a big deal but I was just tryin tofigure out how i can tell if the fuse is blown by testing it somwhow, its a clear fuse and just want to fix it. Just wanted to know if i could hook up a circuit tester or light to see of the fuse is good before i go through all that, any help on how?? I have to jump the sled to start it and once it runs it wont start again, and being that it doesnt have a pull cord i have to depend on the e start!!

well if you have a continuity tester or ohm tester then yes just pull fuse and put 1 prob on 1 tab other on other tab.any 12v or under electric device and a chunk of wire will also work battery charger and a chunk of wire any thing to see if current runs through fuse. you can always stick a paperclip or screwdriver in fuse holes and see if it turns over if it will then you know it is a fuse.

The fuse is fastened to the fuse box with 2 screws. You will need to pop the fuse box out of its bracket, twist it over & remove the 2 screws to remove the fuse.

If you are jump starting the machine by applying the cables to the battery & the machine then starts, the fuse will be OK.

Cat part number is 3006-370 and they retail at near $20.

That fuse typically doesn't blow unless you do the dastardly dead of reversing the polarity. It will fail & protect the electronics. I am not aware of any aftermarket fuse that will work.

Now for another problem that I have encountered a few times is one of the 4 relays going bad. They are for fuel pump, ECU, handwarmers & headlamps. If you get stranded as in check eng light but don't hear the fuel pump cycle, you will need to rob a relay for use in the fuel pump position. If no check eng light, then the ECU relay is bad; Rob one for that position. You can obviously live without handwarmers, so that is the one to rob.

Relay part number is 3006-294. Unfortunatly, they run about $75. You can make up a jumper from about 3" of 14 gauge wire & 2 male spade terminals to hot wire & bypass a bad relay. The jumper is easy to carry and nearly free to make. I would rob the handwarmer relay & install the jumper in the handwarmer position. Be sure to select the handwarmers off at the control switch or they will continue to draw current with the machine shut off.

Your dealer should carry both as normal stock items, we do.

Thanks again Jim where are you located at I have typically used RR AC in Hazelhurst as they are on my way up north to the northwoods ans has been a great help with parts.I do have another tech question, I just have readied my sled for the season and need to change the oil in the sled a 2007 T660 Ac Touring 4 stroke, the oweners manual says that I need to replace a gasket on the oil pan drain plug. but when i removed the drain plug to drain the oil there was No gasket, just a good old fashion drain plug that I unscrewwd and the Oil drained out. I have the new oil filter and have new syn 4 stroke AC oil, do i need to put a new gasket on the belly pan drain plug???? Just wondering as the oweners manual makes reference to it but didnt seem to have one to replace???? Thanks for all the help we cant wait to get the sleds deep in snow, DO YOU GO UP nORTH???

660 pan.gif gasket is item #4

I'm the Cat dealer in Holcombe.

There should be an aluminum gasket part number 3006-113 on the drain plug. It will weep without a gasket.

The filter is 3005-948. It is NOT the same filter as used in the 1100. There is NOT an oil change kit for the 660. You need to buy the items individually!

660s take 3qts of oil. The turbos need synthetic, the non turbos originally used a synthetic blend but that oil is NLA and they now are serviced with the synthetic also.

Plastic plug in the belly pan is part number 2606-367
