Blue Ice

John, We rode to the Northeast end of trail #134 yesterday, beautiful ride and view, and we are wondering why the ice was blue on the shore of the big lake? Would you tell us, is it really a blue color and why? Sorry if this has been asked before. Thank you.

I'll just add that perhaps some of the blue light you saw in the ice was due to the blue light being reflected by the water of the lake as well.
