Eao, What oil and filter do I use in a 2001 Searay 310DA with 350 mercruisers, V drive. 300 hp. Not found on Amsoil web site. I used 10-40 4 stroke marine with K&M filter. Motor is basically a Chevy 350 dry sump with filter at top of motor. mounted offset with filter hanging downward. not upside down same as typical 350 with oil pan but filters mounted much higher. Not sure if valving is different. Frams PH30 works. want to use Amsoil filter with Amsoil oil to skip a year of oil changes if possible.

I used to use the standard Mercury oil filters with Mobil 1 15-50 in my 502s. Now I run Castrol GTX and FRAM. Is skipping a year really worth it? Marine engines take a lot of abuse compared to cars....

I recommend AMSOIL HD Diesel & Marine Engine Oil 15W-40 AME

The oil filter to use is an EAO25 although it has been discontinued by AMSOIL. AMSOIL says to use EAO59.

But I have lot of EAO25's in stock as I have 2 others customers with similar GM engine so I bought them by the case.
