Brake noise 2000 XC 700

My buddy's sled... The squealing noise that you would normally hear when you're braking with that sled is heard every time he's off the throttle and slowing down, even when he's not touching the brake. Any ideas?

pretty normal but try adjusting the chain- finger tighten and 1/4 turn (1.5 flats/6 on the bolt) looser.

May want to check jack shaft bearings also.Has he had any issues with the speedometer ? If so definately check jack shaft bearings.
