I guess I never thought of it that way but ya. Which I find could be a problem because you don't always win in life. However knowing coach fruechte like I do I am sure he instilled that into these kids. He is more of a mentor than a coach. He does amazing work. Very proud of our team. Lighten up......All you had to say is congrats Badgers on bringing the Paul Bunyan Ax back to Madison. Afterall....they were all pee wee league and H S prep ball kids as well at one time... Lol.

slimcake you bring back memories. I have some age on me, so my experience occurred before we had a "state playoff/championship" system. However we had a very good football program. I too went thru a 4 year high school with a undefeated varsity football program. 65-71. We played many larger, rated schools, and made the news in larger newspapers regularly. Our coach was all about discipline, quickness, execution of play. We actually caused the Refs headaches as they were not used to the quick, disciplined, play. Your kids have a lot to be proud of! And that coach installed in them much more than just football! Congrats! They'll have long memories!
