Still don't think it's right Doo is making their own tour. Makes them look like they think they're better than everyone else.

Around our area? yes tons of doo's. Go up to northern wis, all cat's and poo's imo.

I have been up north 3 times so far this winter. If I had to try to rate the sleds on the trails by brand here is how I would.
1- ski doo
2- polaris
3- yamaha
4- cat

I am sure everybody has a different opinion of what they see but that's mine! All the sled manufactures used to have spring tours! Not sure why they don't its nice to go look at the sleds sit on them and talk to factory reps before spending 12 grand on a new one!

The other 3 manufacturers will still be together:

Arctic Cat, Polaris and Yamaha announce "Sneak Peek" schedule to show off 2012 models.

In a series of 22 locations across the snowbelt, Arctic Cat, Polaris and Yamaha will debut a "Sneak Peek" of their new models for 2012. Most are free admission events that will display 15-18 sleds from each manufacturer. That's 50+ new snowmobiles on one show floor all at the same time.

Snowmobilers can see, touch, sit on and inspect the sleds that will be at their dealer in the fall. Also, final decisions on taking advantage of the special incentives that are offered during the spring buying programs can be made with first hand inspection of the various models.

Simple Doo not willing to share their customer base with other OEMs. More for them to lose since largest market share. Other OEMs want to take market share from Doo. Always the way it is when #1. Not many if any holes in doo line up & lots of holes in other OEMs lineups considering 2011 status.

Does anyone have a way to find out how many sleds each manufacture has sold for the last 2 or 3 years?[/QUOTE

A link was posted on TY all the info is there & good read but it was a very long artical including all brands with dealer input. Do a search or ask Mr Sled for help.
I think it was:
1 AC
2 Doo
3 Poo
4 Yam

Before anyone gets too out of sorts regarding sale positions.... numbers were based on non currents too. AC is still selling 05 non currents so gave huge discount price advantage & other end of scale Yam has few if any non currents & highest priced new sleds. Dealers go on to say used market is white hot Yam & others thinking about certifying used sleds with warranty to ease new sled sticker shock & give customers warm fuzzies to encourage used purchase instead of walking away with no sled upgrade due to new sled high price. 07 & up used sled creampuff is in demand with dealer warrranty sounds very good to me but used creampuff sled inventory very low everywhere. Very interesting read.

It would also be interesting to see what sled sells the most in different states? If I had to guess from my riding seems like illinois and Minnesota buy a lot of cats just from meeting people on the trails. Wisconsin seems to be close between poo and doo? Just my observatios over the years.

Meaningless to break down new sled model & brand by States. That is the dealers job & he still gets unwanted inventory jammed up his butt by OEM. There are customer sales & then there is manufactured product that dealer must take mandated by OEM. Sales numbers can be very misleading as some OEMs count shipped product as sold.
